OUR PAWSOME SITTERS

LAURA CASTILLO
Founder & CEO
Meet Laura, a self-proclaimed cat lady who once had an entire feline army of six cats and two dogs in her home! Her beloved chow, Leona, had a knack for drama with her delicate health, which turned Laura into a full-time animal caregiver instead of just a part-time pet parent. Inspired by their antics, Laura packed her bags and left sunny Spain to chase her true calling. While juggling a managerial role, she dove into a Level 3 in Canine Hydrotherapy—because why not add some splashes to her career? Now, as she studies for a BSc (Hons) in Veterinary Nursing, she's dreaming big: a rehabilitation centre for animals where getting top-notch care doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Who knew that following Leona's lead would take her from hospitality to becoming a superpawrent! After Leona's passing, Laura decided it was time to swap her hospitality apron for veterinary scrubs, and plunged into the delightful world of the furry companions in the North West. Whilst developing in the nursing program, Laura created the Pawsome Kingdoms project—because who wouldn’t a future as fabulous as her cats? Currently, Laura is busy making sure the PK team is confident with the Animal Welfare legislation like they know their favourite treats, as well the Health and Safety law. As well as a qualified first aider and hydrotherapist (yes, yes, she can spoil your pets!), Laura also has a clean DBS and is a proud mom to Miko, Beanie, and Nova.
MATT
Meet Matt, a lifelong pet lover who has transitioned from being a devoted "Dog Dad" to proudly embracing his role as a "Cat Dad." With a heart for animals, Matt welcomed Miko into his home to be a friend for Laura's chow, Leona, and has since added two more cats to his family. Balancing his career as a financial analyst, he dedicates his spare time to helping Laura her bookings and loves cozy nights in with his furry kittens: Miko, Bean and Nova. Matt has become quite the pet health guru, thanks to his early experiences with Tia, his adorable chocolate lab who had more allergies than a sneezy human, and Leona, who needed daily meds and a little extra help to get around. As a qualified first aider with a clean DBS, he's on a mission to keep his furry friends in tip-top shape. His fascination with animal behaviour and psychology has him diving into the world of separation anxiety and reactivity—because who wouldn’t want to unravel the mysteries of their pets' quirky habits?

CAM
Meet Cam, the animal whisperer who’s been in sync with his furry friends since he was a kid, using a toy mouse to engage his cats in an epic game of chase! His adventure began with as a young volunteer and he quickly developed to Doggy Day Care manager—because who wouldn't want to be the fearless leader of a bunch of playful pups? Cam’s got the inside scoop on all the quirks of different breeds and can handle dogs of every shape and size like a pro! Cam is currently studying his Level 3 in Zookeeping, whilst dreaming big—aiming to become a multi-species carer and create the ultimate Pet Hotel, where every pet can live like royalty. Talk about a pawsitively exciting future! He is also a proud dad to his doggo Andy, a sweet and gorgeous rescue that can't live without his hooman.
EVE
Meet Eve, a lovely student veterinary nurse with an heart-touching story. Eve adopted Lily years ago after having found her in a very weak state inside of a building site in Africa. She had lost the strength in her hind limbs giving birth to puppies that unfortunately were either shot or drowned. One made it alive, and this little pup was adopted by Eve and her family, as well as Lily. Eve and Lily's connection appeared immediately and none of them wanted to give up. Lily eventually gained weight, and recovered her mobility and muscle strength and was able to begin a life without fear. Thanks to Eve's love and patience, Lily gained a life full of adventure walks and puppy meetings surrounded by a family that loves her so much. Eve has previously volunteered in a hydrotherapy clinic, assisting animals through their rehab sessions, and she has also worked in a zoo shadowing the veterinary personnel during health checks and behaviour monitoring of all the animals. At the moment, Eve works at a veterinary practice in the South of Manchester whilst studying for her Veterinary Nursing qualifications, so her availability depends on her academic calendar and shifts at the vets. She also holds a Level 3 in Animal Management.

ERIN
Meet Erin and her sweet pup Bessy! Erin is currently studing for a BSc (hons) in Veterinary Nursing to fulfill her dream of becoming a Registered Vet Nurse and working in an emergency hospital helping as many animals as she can. She has been working in farms assisting with lambing and feeding routines, as well as with vaccinations and administration of medicine where required. She is used to handle big animals, since it was necessary to move them from stalls to fields daily, and also learned how to cut nails, sheering sheep if necessary, and grooming. As part of her work experience, Erin has helped vet surgeons and nurses in theatre during surgeries and in consult rooms, and has supported the veterinary staff with the care of all inpatient pets, according to the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the relevant Codes of Practice from DEFRA. Before Bessy, Erin had two hamsters that she loved to bits! So she is aware of the needs of these little ones. Erin is a ball of positive energy that is hungry for learning new skills every day. She is very family orientated and a music geek! On her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Bessy and loves going to concerts and festivals with her friends and family.
CAITLIN
Meet Caitlin, a passionate animal lover with a heart of gold! She is a mum to her dogs, Ted and Moose, and her kittycat, Lola. Caitlin started her journey in Animal Care studies after qualifying with a Level 3 in Animal Management, realising that her true passion was understanding the behaviour of animals. This led her to start working in boarding kennels and to volunteer at an animal sanctuary, helping both cats and dogs of all sizes, colours and shapes with their day-to-day needs. She is currently studying towards a BSc in Clinical Canine Behaviour, after having graduated in a Foundation Degree in Canine Behaviour and Training. Another busy bee! One of the things that she enjoys the most is spending hours and hours with her furbabies and family, taking Ted and Moose to discover new places, and chilling at home with Lola. Caitlin is a very calm and patient soul who loves learning about all animals' unique quirks and give them the love and attention that they deserve. She is currently in University twice a week, so her schedule is very flexible in terms of arranging bookings. Although Caitlin does not mind driving, at the minute she is based in Crewe and Nantwich during the Academic Year, and will be in Wales during her holidays.
